The Battle of Good and Evil
When the world was still young and yawned at every dawn's waking, Granas, the God of Light, came. All was bathed in the holy light of Heaven. Thus, those were the days of marvels.
Yet, there were those who sought the power to resist Granas; they found power in Valmar, the God of Darkness. Power to release the energy bound up in life. Power to unmake the world.
Thus, in those days, they made war.
The fighting continued endlessly, until the Sword of Granas pierced the infinite darkness of Valmar. The mighty blow from Granas not only smashed Valmar to pieces, but also carved several ugly scars in the very surface of the planet.
These are the Granacliffs that survive even to the present - scars in the land.
The reason why we call this earth the "Cursed Land".
The Story
Now, Ryudo is a Geohound, a person who takes all sort of different jobs for money and is not particularly popular. In fact, most people avoid geohounds for their rudeness and cruelty. Ryudo, banned from his former home, lives this sort of life together with his close friend and companion Skye, until he gets a note from someone of the church.
He heads into the village and is told to be the bodyguard of the songstress Elena, who is supposed to go to some holy tower where they hold a holy cerenomy and sing. So far so good. The ceremony ends in an catastrophy because of Valmar, the God of Evil and Ryudo can just save Elena's life, but many other girls had to die. Back in the village Millenia shows up. She causes chaos and destruction, paralyzes Ryudo and promises him to make him 'hers'. Then she disappears again.
Elena was in touch with Valmar and is now ill. She therefore decides to see the Pope Zera and ask for help. Ryudos next job: you guessed right! Is accompanying her. Millenia soon shows up again and soon it becomes clear that she is not all that evil as everybody has thought...
But this is not the only thing that is different from what it seems to be.....Many things will change the believes and views of our protagonists...*drums* :D
